Simone Biles
Simone Biles won her 20th gold medal in the World Championships when Team USA captured its seventh successive world title on October 4, in Antwerp, Belgium. With 33 gold medals, she is the most decorated woman to ever compete in gymnastics. It also includes the Olympics. Biles did a vault that was so challenging it was the first vault that a female athlete ever performed at an international scale. Biles II is now the title of the Yurchenko dual pike vault which used to be called Yurchenko. At the end of her all-around event on the 6th October, this record breaking gymnast will take part in her very first international meet after 2021. Simone was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1997. Her birth mom struggled with drug addiction. Simone and her three siblings were removed from house to foster care.
